More about rachel
Welcome to my practice! I believe that therapy can help people develop deeper self-awareness and emotional understanding in order to create a sense of agency in their life.
My practice is rooted in providing a safe, judgement-free space that is led by curiosity and empathy, allowing you to explore your inner world in an authentic way in order to bring about a lasting change and deeper satisfaction with your life.
I use a variety of modalities to treat adults, young adults, and adolescents. I often see patients coping with anxiety, depression, postpartum issues, and late-diagnosed ADHD. My interactive, feedback-based style includes evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and hypnotherapy, depending on what is most helpful to
the patient.
I am a Brooklyn local and love working with patients from the area. My office is easily accessible to the 2/3 and B/Q subway line in Prospect Heights and I’m readily available for patients who want in-person sessions during the week where they can come in, see me on their break, and continue on with their day.
I offer both in-person and telehealth appointments.
why work with a therapist?
I know that the choice to pursue therapy is not an easy one for most people.
Some are fueled by a stressful or traumatic life event such as a breakup or grief. Some experience more chronic conditions that are difficult to cope with.
But I believe therapy can benefit anyone at any stage of their life and I strive to help patients develop new coping strategies and perspectives on their world.
